#covid19# lockdown# time pass activities. Dancing as a workout

I am not a dancer. Being a yoga practitioner does yoga and teach yoga. I like dance 💃 In my childhood amma loves us to do steps along with music. My father was against about teaching dance to us. So amma left her wish to teach dance. When I start learning yoga in my early thirties the dance passion again came up. Our daughter learned bharathanatyam in her childhood and early teens. Now she is participating in group dance programs during festivals in USA.
Are you passionate in dancing? Age is not a bar. Play your favourite song. Put your own steps. Enjoy the music, fill happiness in your mind and focus on your steps. Don’t give stress on your body or do forcefully. Listen to your body and continue dance. Feel free to stop at any moment. Go on and continue the next day to make dancing part of your workout.
It’s lockdown time. Plenty of time at home. Take care of your health. Bring out your passion for dancing. If your children and grandchildren are are with you invite them also to celebrate your physical activity to get fit mentally and physically.
Benefits of Dancing as a Therapy
1 Increases aerobic fitness
2. Strengthens core muscles and bones
3. Reduces risk of osteoporosis
4. Capacitates lungs and heart
5. Improves cardiovascular health
6. Strengthens lower body and hands
7. Improves flexibility and stability
8. Increases the ability to focus and concentrate
9. Reduces risk for developing dementia
10. Reverses the signs of aging in the brain.
These are some of the benefits.
Some tips for those who likes to include dancing in their work out.
Dancing is a great activity to keep fit. Be careful with your balance when you start with. Care should be taken to do the steps in all directions especially on both sides to balance and coordinate the body and mind. Don’t forget to smile. Smile on your lips and the grace on your face helps to relieve stress and have fun. Research shows dance can be used as a therapy for ailments such as asthma, arthritis, heart disease, cancer, dementia and parkison.
So why to wait? Start at home now. Get fit. Dancing as a workout is good for body, mind and soul rather than a fun pass time.

#covid19# lockdown experience # Everyday is Beautiful ❤️

Everyday is beautiful it we treat so❤️
We always like to be occupied with any activities that matters good to us. Especially I love to be in touch with friends and family and to befriend with others wherever we are. Being an author of cookery books and blogs I used to test the food made mainly with my husband  and our young neighbor friend representing present generation. Yesterday I shared a new dish made, that was taro stem masala curry.
She asked me can I prepare our traditional dishes sambar and avial for them. Why not ? Agreed. That results in the happiness of today. In the evening all the veggies, curd and toordal reached our doorstep.
Today morning started the task. Grandma’s cooking. Cilantro was not there in the veggies.
I remembered when we were kids my mom never ever used cilantro in sambar. Because in early years cilantro was not having a place in vegetables. Of course cilantro gives a nice flavour in Sambar. If not  also  it is good.
We both, me and my husband, cleaned and cut the veggies. By 11am the dishes were ready. It was packed and informed. Due to lockdown, social distancing is not allowing to come in. Made it ready for take away. We both the families had it for lunch. It was too delicious and traditional. Got the feedback 💯 ❤️ WoW ❤️ Being recognised and appreciated is something so special. Thank God for becoming successful and contented for the beautiful task of traditional dishes take away.
Lot of childhood and teenage memories flooded in our minds during the task🎊🎉🎊
Let’s keep our mindset in a positive way to go ahead happy and healthy in this beautiful world 🌎

Our story
Let me share our style of time pass. We know you are doing or you may be doing better.
We were very busy in social activities within and outside our state. Wherever we go we have busy plans. This time we were locked in. The plans came out quickly.
1. Being yoga masters and counsellors morning and evening about forty minutes are assigned for yoga 🧘‍♂️ 🧘‍♀️
2. We got a small homestead garden with coconuts, arecanuts, banana, pepper  and mango, bilimbi,   rose apple, jack fruit, mangosteen trees. We planted some more fruit plants in February 2020 which need more care from us in this time.
Everyone is locked down. We are the master and worker in our garden. Best time to see, experience and appreciate the labour skills within us. Do you know Agriculture is not a business it is our culture? We are undergoing horticulture therapy while in the garden.
3. Kitchen is our indoor laboratory for cooking and experiments. Our garden produces are the stars ✨ in our kitchen. Repetition in cooking is getting bored. Trying new recipes are really making us creative and innovative.
4. Updating the blogs with cookery and positive experiences.
5.Sharing our experience in social media to empower our friends.
6.Keeping in touch with friends and family members who are in need of tips and techniques to stay strong.
We are here with smile on our face, kindness in our hearts and service in our hands. Please be in touch if you wish or you are in need. Love and Prayers ❤️❤️🙏🙏

Laugh 😂 and stay healthy 😍

Laughter therapy for a group of women at Kochi.
Laughter relaxes the whole body. Strengthens the immune system keeping one healthy.
If a smile in picture makes you beautiful then why can’t you smile/ laugh everyday to make your life beautiful? Laughter triggers and releases endorphins, serotonin and dopamine which helps one to stay calm, energised and peaceful. Join a laughter group to laugh at least thirty minutes a day as a physical workout. Children laugh from their guts and that’s why they are energetic. Child like laugh can be reproduce in laughter groups. Laughter is contagious. So everyone in the group can go along with laughter. It is the best, strong and priceless medicine to stay healthy and happy 😃

Full Moon rise click at Dusk 🌕

Got a nice click of moon rise at dusk. It was a full moon 🌕 we went to the sand shore of Periyar River at Lord Shiva temple. Arrangements were going on in connection with Shivrathri festival. I was surprised to watch a sunrise in the east at dusk. I looked at the West. The sun is setting there. After a moment came to senses. The moon is rising. In my life journey I haven’t observed such a beautiful scene of moon rise. Clicked the beautiful picture in my mobile. Then looked into the literature of moon rise and moon set. Got clear idea now. Thank God for the day and the new information. I don’t know exactly but I think some may be out there ignorant like me. This post is for my same like beautiful friends.
As the Moon moves in its  orbit around the Sun 🌞 our view of the side illuminated by the Sun changes. At full moon the Moon rises at sunset and sets at sunrise. That’s because a full moon is exactly the opposite side of the Sky 🌌 seen from Earth  🌍 That’s why the side of the Moon that’s facing is fully lit by the Sun 🌞 at that moment.
Keep on learning to make your life journey beautiful ❤️
