Good morning friends 🙏
Welcome back to Chair Yoga 🧘♀️
Seated Spinal Twist(Ardha Matsyendrasana)
Sit tall on a sturdy chair. Relax and feel comfortable.
Inhale, hold the right side of the chair with your left hand, twist your torso towards the right , grab the back of your chair with your right hand and turn back as far as you can for a spinal twist. Gaze back. Hold for 5-10 seconds.Exhale and come back straight to the centre. Do on the other side. Repeat for a couple of times.
Very good for spinal health. As we age our spine gets weak.
Strengthens hips, arms, shoulders and neck.
Stretches the upper body and spine.
If you are a beginner in yoga and having any health issues please consult with your doctor before starting.
