Chair yoga for Seniors, Elephant 🐘 Pose

Sit tall on a sturdy chair. Take a few normal breaths and relax. Place your feet wide apart. Inhale, raise your hands through the sides and form Namaskar mudra up above your crown centre. Hold the pose for 5 seconds. Feel the stretch. Exhale, bend forward along with your hands parallel to the ground and take your hands under the chair. Gaze at your palms. Hold for 5 seconds. Inhale bring your united hands as it is up through your sides. Exhale and come back to the original position. Take a few normal breaths and relax.

Elongates the back and spine.
Stretches the muscles of hands and shoulders.
Helps blood flow into the brain.
