Udanavayu Mudra and Ahankara Mudra

Mudra healing session.
Yoga mudras balance the five elements and the three doshas, vatha, pitta and kapha in our body.
Mudras play an important role in yoga. 
Udana Vayu Mudra ( Mudra of laughter/ inner smile)
It is the gesture of self love.
Udana vayu is the prana centered on the chest and moving upward. 
Brings feeling of fulfilment in a person.
Benefits 
Regulates blood flow to the brain.
Governs brain function.
Helps in effortless thinking.
Strengthen lungs & Improves respiratory function.
Stimulates thymus glands.
Strengthens throat.
Helps in speech disorders and improves voice.
Brings happiness.
How to do 
Sit tall and comfortable.
Palms facing up on the thighs. 
Join the tips of the thumbs, index, middle and ring fingers gently. 
Little fingers straighten.
Fit a smile on your face.
Focus on the mudra and visualise the benefits. Practice the mudra for 15-20 minutes.
Ahamkara mudra (I maker mudra)
Aham means I am and kara means doing. This is the most powerful mudra for self assertion and confidence. Associated with solar plexus chakra. If fear and doubts dominate in daily life, practice the mudra. It helps strengthen the ‘I’ within.

How to do 
Sit tall and comfortable.
Palms facing up on your thighs.
Bend the index fingers.
Touch the upper phalanx of the thumb to the middle phalanx of index finger. Other fingers straight. 
Focus on the mudra and feel confident and assertive.
Practice regularly to reap the benefits.
